
But no plans for hosepipe bans
Residents and businesses in Staffordshire are unlikely to be hit with a hosepipe ban according to the Environment Agency, despite its annoucement this morning that the county is officially in drought.
It says the lack of rain over the last two years has led to low ground and river levels across the Midlands.
The Agency says they are trying to balance the needs of the public, farmers and wildlife.
