Man charged after officer assaulted during pub disturbance

A man's been charged with assaulting a police officer following a disturbance in a Stoke-on-Trent pub.

Officers had been called to an incident at the Robin Hood on Ford Green Road in Norton on Tuesday evening.

The 32-year-old has been charged with being drunk and disorderly in a public place and assaulting a constable in the execution of duty. 

He will appear at North Staffordshire Justice Centre on Thursday 23 March.
