Two dead and six injured
Two people have died and six others have been injured following a serious crash in Staffordshire.
Two cars collided on the A38, Branston, Burton on Trent at around 7.45pm last night.
Two women were confirmed dead at the scene.
A girl believed to be four years old suffered abdominal and pelvic injuries, a 12 year old girl suffered serious abdominal injuries, a 14 year old boy suffered serious leg and abdominal injuries, a 17 year old man suffered back and abdominal injuries, a man believed to be in his 30’s suffered leg and back injuries, and a woman believed to be in her 20’s suffered multiple serious injuries.
They are being treated in hospital.
Police say they don't believe their injuries to be life threatening.
Officers are appealing for witnesses to the incident.
