23 year old pronounced dead at the scene
Officers are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision in Cannock on Friday.
Just before 5pm, a silver Renault Clio left Brindley Road and hit a tree.
The driver, 23-year-old Luke Porter, of The Meadows, Cannock, was pronounced dead at the scene.
No other vehicles were involved.
Officers are investigating the collision and providing support to Mr Porter's family.
Witnesses are asked to ring Staffordshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 554 of 13 July.
