Council leader on Olympic torch

Thousands of people have lined the streets of Staffordshire and Cheshire for the Olympic Torch.

Stoke City manager Tony Pulis was the first person to carry the torch when it left the Potteries Museum in Hanley at 7 o'clock this morning.

It then moved on to Cobridge, Burslem and Middleport before continuing its journey in Cheshire via Crewe, Congleton, Macclesfield and Knutsford.
